Release Premiere: Megamall - Escape From Lizard City
Megamall are a fun Vancouver band that formed in 2019. Originally a three piece, they’ve expanded to a quartet as restrictions have begun opening up and touring is starting to become normal again. Fresh off an opening slot for Julie Doiron at this years Sled Island Music Festival, the band are carrying that momentum into their debut release on July 1st.
The band features Alie Lynch (bass and vocals), Dan On (lead guitar), Gal Av-Gay (drums), and Davina Shell (rhythm guitar), all veterans of the Vancouver’s music community. Featuring melodic guitars, driving basslines, upbeat drums, and playful vocals - together Megamall’s four members bring their knowledge of playing in bands like Supermoon, Non La, Maneater, Thee Ahs and DUMB.
