Carey goes down with an illness that renders him voiceless so the void is filled by Dallas Thompson. Dallas is the drummer for Slates but we spend most our time chatting about gigs he puts on at his house venue called Fahrt Ranch that have included David Cross with Ted Leo, J. Robbins (Jawbox), Garrett Klahn (Texas Is The Reason) and Mike Watt. We also discuss his other band Jet Power, being a Dad, one of his former students and the fateful night when he met Eddie Vedder.
