Video Premiere: Kurt Loewen - “I'll Die Here”

Kurt Loewen is a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has spent much of his music career writing, performing and traveling with The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra. Last year he released his debut solo album, Heavy & Low. It was an impressive foray into solo-songwriting that fused rock and folk with the utmost charm.

His follow up is called Becker Lake and is set for release this Friday (October 30th). This album was completely self-produced by Loewen at his home studio. He has taken advantage of these strange and isolating times to dive deep into the songwriting and recording processes. Although the album represents a body of work created in solitude, its themes centre around hope, open heartedness, kindness, and optimism… something the world could use more of right now.

Today we are very pleased to share the video for his latest single, “I'll Die Here.” The song is about having complete contentedness with your current station in life. The video was shot in Loewen's bathtub at his home in Fernwood, Victoria by T-Rav the Transformer.

Enjoy the video below then pre-order Becker Lake in vinyl, CD or digitally here. (Pssst! remember that a Bandcamp Friday is approaching, on November 6th Bandcamp is waiving 100% of their fees.)
