Premiere: Dried Out - Freak Me Out

About a month ago, the Cups N Cakes Network reported on the forthcoming album, It Feels Alright, from Vancouver punk band, Dried Out. At the time, we premiered the music video for “White Noise,” the first single from the new record, and today we are happy to once again showcase Dried Out with a premiere of another song from It Feels Alright.

The track is called “Freak Me Out” and much like “White Noise,” it showcases a shift in Dried Out’s sound from garage influenced punk to noise punk. Lead singer Henry Peters describes the song:

”Freak Me Out is a song about the feeling of drowning. The feeling you can’t shake off from the many pressures of life. Whether it be from work, a partner, your physical appearance, or financial stress. It's something we all experience in one way or another throughout our lives. The feeling of drowning and helplessness can be a debilitating thing, but even though it is something we feel we can’t fix, it shows how strong each and everyone of us can be. In these moments, our ability to act, or our inaction, will ultimately define who we are as humans.”

Dried Out will release the new record, It Feels Alright, on December 4th with a show the Wise Hall that will include Dead Soft, The This, and NMA. Enjoy this exclusive premiere for “Freak Me Out” one day before it drops on all streaming services.
