Premiere: Glassreel - Love So Hollow

Winnipeg’s Glassreel are bursting out of the pandemic to take Canada by storm with their infectious guitar-pop that has had them described as a cross between The New Pornographers and Belle & Sebastian. Their 2019 debut EP, Unalike, put them on our radar and had us waiting in anticipation for more.

We are happy to inform the world that more is finally on the way, starting today with our exclusive premiere of a stand-alone single called “Love So Hollow.” The track leans on 90s guitar rock influences and is about the different anxieties we may be feeling as we come out of the pandemic.

Songwriter Trevor Graumann reveals:

“The lyrics are about how I, like many people, started to feel increasingly introverted as quarantine stretched longer and longer and human interaction became more and more distant. You start to question whether you even have the ability to reach out to people anymore.”

The track will officially be released on August 6th as a warm-up to their debut album, Free Time, which will come out later this year.

Enjoy!
