Release Premiere: Rooms - Don't Be Yourself

The Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to deliver an advance album premiere of the new album from Vancouver’s Rooms (FKA: I Make Earthquakes). Rooms is the project of Beshele Caron, under this moniker Caron crafts lovely lofi indie-pop with elements of soft-rock and outsider-folk. The melodies are memorable and the direct, self-referential content is captivating which makes the project one worth keeping tabs on.

The album we are premiering today is called Don't Be Yourself and it’s set to arrive on December 11th through Don’t Make Art for Them (DON’T) with a run of cassette’s arriving via No SUN Recordings. The album is raw an intimate, Caron’s true gift on Don't Be Yourself is making the listener feel as though they’re a spectator to a basement recoding session. Lyrically, the release weaves through the tangles of love, lullaby's, grief, solitude and the spirals of motherhood.
