Video Premiere: SHEBAD - “Black Walnut”

Cups N Cakes is proud to help Guelph, Ontario’s SHEBAD close the book on their incredible 2024 break-out album, Music is the Answer. The final chapter comes in the form of a music video for the album’s penultimate track, “Black Walnut.” According to the band, within the context of Music is the Answer, the track represented an exploration into a new and experimental sonic direction for the group - channeling inspiration through nature to create groove and feeling in a way that resonates from the heart, with unique instrumentation and energy at the forefront.

The video is an homage to nature and the black walnut tree. It features the band grooving in the wilderness joined by a group of dancers helping to showcase nature which is a fundamental theme for the band. It’s a fun video with great choreography that captures the percussive energy the band first experienced while developing the song.
