Premiere: VIBES! - Just So You Know

“Watch the fuck out, posi-core is no joke!”

For well over a decade, Edmonton hardcore band VIBES! have been a staple in the punk scene of the prairies by spreading positivity, active community building, and DIY ethos with their platform. Juxtaposing the anger synonymous with hardcore and delivering hope and light is truly enlightening and a big reason why they’ve stood the test of time.

Led by frontman Mattie Cuvilier (a person who has dedicated his life to the punk scene in the City of Champions) and guitarist Jordan Belanger, the band has navigated multiple lineup changes yet has always found a way to be a beacon of hope. The new lineup features the two aforementioned artists being joined by Justin Williams on bass, Jeremy Townsend on guitar, and Justin Muscoby on drums.

Today we are very excited to deliver an exclusive premiere of their upcoming EP, Just So You Know. Arriving tomorrow, (November 6th) via their own label, Clean Up Your Act Productions, the release follows 2022’s local cult favourite Baseball Bat to the World's End and has the group continuing to evolve their sound—fusing their established melodic hardcore edge with heavier, more aggressive musical landscapes.

Enjoy the new EP below and be sure to support VIBES! by clicking the pre-order button in the player and showing them that they are correct, posi-core is no joke!
