Status/Non-Status, knitting, Lesser Evil, and Mayfly

Status/Non-Status - January 3rd

This trio of songs serves as a follow-up to his previous album, Surely Travel. These three songs were from the sessions of that album, and feature an alternative folk sound that’s wholesome, heartfelt, and absolutely mesmerizing. If the sound of mandolins and pianos rocks your socks, then this will rock them right off.

knitting - throwaway year

If you’re looking for a single that’s just a whole lot of fun to listen to, then you’ve gotta stuff this in your ear hole. It’s catchy, the lyrics are shamelessly relatable, and its rock and roll tone makes for a song that throws me back to nineteen.

Lesser Evil - Lesser Evil

This new release from Montreal-based duo Lesser Evil is an amazing follow-up to their self-titled 2018 album. Their haunting yet soothing vocals match the fantastical synths and poetic lyrics in incredible serendipity. It even features a saxophone and a song about weed. If you like dark waves, then this jam is right up your alley.

Mayfly - HIDEAWAY Vol. I

The opening of the seven-track release gave me a good scare, and I mean that in the best of ways. Their dark approach to pop is refreshing and makes for a really mystical kind of vibe. This Montreal-based duo has been absolutely killing it these last three years. All seven tracks are absolutely enchanting, even the opening.
