The Ape-Ettes, Harsh, Head Crack, and Bile Sister

The Ape-Ettes - Simply the Ape-Ettes

The Ape-Ettes are not primitive, in fact the garage rock trio’s music is its exact antithesis! The band has an uncanny ability to construct and produce exceptionally catchy hooks. I also have to say, they threw me a curveball with their track, “Inner Child”. I was not expecting it, and I loved the surprise. If Jefferson Airplane and The Doors had collaborated, I have to dream it would have accomplished “this important mission”.

HARSH - Garbage Sale

“When did my life become such a fucking bore?” Yeah there are times we realize something too late, or not soon enough. There is nothing about HARSH which could be described as a BORE! This four piece unapologetic queer feminist punk band is straight in your face, so get the hell out of the way!!

Head Crack - S/T

Are you paying attention Toronto? Do you hear the calls from the streets of thrash? That is not the sound of riots destroying because the Leafs fell flat again. That is the sound of Head Crack thrashing, crashing, and smashing your misinformation metal cannot be TWISTED!!

Bile Sister - Living on the Edge

I absolutely love the vibe of Bile Sister’s new album Living on the Edge. This is what Kings of Leon would sound like if they threw caution to the wind and surrendered to experimentation. Their sounds absolutely put me over the top. One minute I felt as though the Predator was creeping up behind me, and then I became mesmerized by the undertones and chant-like rhythms.
