SUUNS, billy graham, Jason Ogden, and Quiet Winter

SUUNS - Wave

Opening with some heavy distortion that is immediately offset with this delicate vocal delivery gives a good grasp of the vibes that come ahead. This experimental Montreal-based group brings out some heavenly melodies with a grand feeling of catharsis and emotion through its blend of chaos and peace.

billy graham - engineering

With a vintage style and an electronic sound, this stuff brings me back to the homemade IDM of Aphex Twin with its heavy beats, hard-hitting beats, and distant synths. These two songs have a great blend of jammable beats with the right bit of eccentricity. Overall, a spectacular listen.

Jason Ogden - Carleton Street

This new single from Jason Ogden has a lo-fi sound, with a vibe similar to that of Lou Reed or his work with the Velvet Underground. With the plucking of a guitar starting the track, it unfolds with a beat and bass perfectly accentuated by the poetic lyrics.

Quiet Winter - Peppermint Tea

If you’re into ambient music, then you’ve got a half-dozen more tracks to add to your listening list. Quiet Tea’s newest release includes a reworking of its own song, which brings a new life upon itself to the point where it feels familiar yet completely refreshing.  Amazing work for those who appreciate some slow serenity.
