Wild electronic textures and Bélisle’s modulated voice make this track a wild, yet uplifting adventure.
Nikolas L. B. - “Got God”
Montreal avant-pop artist, Niklolas L.B. delivers a slow builder that opens with simple acoustic guitar and quickly moves into a sing-along chorus of “na na na’s” that channels a choral ensemble. The whole thing is an examination on the belief that whatever happens in life is predetermined by some higher power and Nikolas L.B. leaves it open to interpretation, is he being sarcastic or sincere? That’s for you to decide.
Chad Honda - “CRIME”
Chad Honda is a brand-new Montreal based artist making bold, over-the-top, electronic-pop. “CRIME” is the only song they have out so far and it features nostalgia soaked synths, a driving tempo, and Honda’s vocals which are delivered with a bored ennui and a sing-speak style that stands out. This voice acts as that bad influence you feel around from time-to-time, will you succumb to its call?
Cut Teeth - “Wild Ones”
I forget all the pertinent details about this debut single from Cut Teeth as I accidentally deleted the email. Sometimes that’s for the best as I’m forced to go in blind. In the case of “Wild Ones,” this new artist tugs at all my heart strings. Recorded to sound like an old 45 someone found in a discount bin, this track blends psychedelic twang with 60s folk-pop and has me very excited to hear more from Cut Teeth.
