Gord Downie - Away Is Mine
On this weeks episode of the Cups N Cakes Vinyl Unveil, Jeff opens Away Is Mine which consists of the final recordings from the iconic Gord Downie. Longtime collaborator, Josh Finlayson co-wrote the music with Downie for an album that we loved enough to name a “Pick Of The Week” upon its release. This double LP arrived on October 16th, 2020 via Arts & Crafts an is limited to 6000 units. The first LP is the album as Downie intended while second LP consists of the acoustic versions of the album. Finlayson fell in love with the stripped down versions of the tracks and decided they needed to be included in the release.
