Single Premiere: Pop Pop Vernac - Arms

Hailing from Regina, Pop Pop Vernac are a four piece rock band that play with a reckless abandon. All four members write and sing their own songs and all four members have impressive writing chops. They’ve built a strong following in Regina and are looking to spill that following across provincial borders when they take their forthcoming album, Loud Local Band, on tour this November.

This record was self recorded/produced, with instrumental bed tracks taken off the floor from the bands jam spot at the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange Society, and vocal takes recorded at the members respective homes. The Cups N Cakes Network is pleased to present an exclusive premiere of the track “Arms”.

Lyrically, the song is about being negligent about your lover or partners emotional needs and becoming complacent in the relationship. Conversely, it’s also about putting too much stock and importance into your partner or others negativity towards you.
