Single Premiere: Double Double - Yellowknife
Near the end of 2017, two longtime Edmonton pals put out the Tag Along EP under the name Double Double. The chemistry of Neil Douglas Fraser and Landon Turlock was obvious and the EP was a great introduction to a young folk act whose guitar interplay and singable folk tunes were an instant hit in their local music scene. Two years later, the duo finally return with “Yellowknife”, a track that shows exponential growth as the duo bring in lovely harmonies, cello, piano, banjo, and drums to all come together in an emotional climax.
The ballad captures the autobiographical story of two lovers meeting halfway in the northern Canadian city of Yellowknife, sharing a short time together before having to return to their lives apart.
