Single Premiere: TeaFannie - "Schitzo"
TeaFannie is an up & coming, Alberta based, Hip-Hop artist who is about to drop a brand new album. Appropriately timed to drop this Friday on Bandcamp Day (the first Friday of each month Bandcamp waives their fees ensuring all proceeds from album sales go directly to the artists), her new album, Hello, marks a new chapter in her young career.
For this release, she parted ways with her old artist name, “S.H.E.” and recorded everything herself in the Planet Superblend building powered by Afros In Tha City in Calgary, Alberta. Even more impressive is that over the span of the album’s eight tracks, there are no features to be found. Fellow artists always know about the up and coming talent before any one else so it should be no surprise that TeaFannie recently received praise from Edmonton’s Arlo Maverick, one of that city’s most respected rappers.
Today we are pleased to be delivering an exclusive single premiere in advance of Hello’s release date on December 4th. The track is called “Schitzo” and serves as an introduction to TeaFannie’s three personalities. Cookiez The Miztress starts the song with a sexy vibe and rapid fire melodic flows. Then we meet Ma who is the hood side of TeaFannie before, Fannie, the mature book-smart and street-smart personality schools the other two and gives us a dose of the true TeaFannie.
