Video Premiere: Twizzie Ramos (Ft. KTheChosen) - “Hierophant Green”
Calgary’s hip hop scene is bursting with talent. A couple days ago we premiered the brand new single/video from Lyrique and now we are, once again, highlighting rap talent from the Stampede City.
Born in The Philippines, based in Calgary, Twizzie Ramos has released four albums in the last four years under his "Flowtaku" series, each influenced by different parts of the world, era and cultures within different subgenres. Self described as “Danger-Pop”, Twizzie blends Trap, Synthpop, Jazz, and even Heavy Metal to create a truly unique listening experience.
“Hierophant Green” is from F4: STAR CRUSADER (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) and features another up & coming Calgary MC in KTheChosen. The video was directed by beatmaker Rome IX (who actually produced the single as well), and was filmed using only a Oneplus 7 pro phone!
When asked about the video, Twizzie said:
“The idea came about when me and K the chosen would often compare each other's recent album releases ‘Star Crusader’ vs ‘Jouska’. The story board came about when we'd joke about how we got rival projects, targeting a comedic approach to the alpha males competing in a series of games for bragging rights.”
