Premiere: Whitney K - "Me Or The Party #165"

Whitney K is the recording alias of wandering stalwart Konner Whitney, a Whitehorse Yukon resident who has roamed between Vancouver, Montreal, Burnaby and Los Angeles. Recently featured on our “Most Anticipated of 2021” list, his forthcoming record has been at the forefront of our minds. The record is called Two Years, and will be released on February 19th through Maple Death. The album sees Whitney poetically exploring vulnerability, change, and letting his guard down. 

The first track, entitled “Maryland,” was released at the end of 2020 and today the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to share the second single from the album.

The song is called “Me Or The Party #165” and it sees Whitney pondering if his partner enjoys the night life more than him. It boasts the wry wit that has become synonymous with the golden age of country music; a ‘woe-is-me’ song begging for a sing-along at the end of the night, when the bottle is dry.
