It has been three years since Fitness released their explosive art-punk debut entitled: -ing (pronounced dashing). That release and the dozen or so gigs that came before and after saw them become underground sensations across Alberta. The Cups N Cakes Network placed -ing on our list of the “Best Albums Of 2018” and recently featured the band on our list of the “Most Anticipated Of 2021.” In their hometown, the wait has been agonizing. Edmonton music fans have been eagerly waiting with extreme excitement for the sophomore release, knowing it will catapult their favourite local act to another level.

Today we are honoured to be announcing that their sophomore album will arrive on March 5th via New York imprint Sad Cactus Records. The record is called Full Well and it boasts a more polished version of the erratic art-punk they’ve become known for. Thematically, the album deals with coming to terms with the limits of one’s understanding.

We are ecstatic to be able to give you the first single from Full Well. Watch the video for “Dec. ‘98” below and peep the album artwork and tracklist further down.

Then bookmark the Fitness Bandcamp page to pre-order the album (CD, cassette, digital) when it becomes available this weekend. (Or better yet! Wait and pre-order on February 5th when Bandcamp waives their sales fees)
