Video Premiere: Future Star - "It's Hard to Let Go of You"
Future Star is a Victoria based solo artist creating lo-fi bedroom pop. Their new record, When Will The DJ Of Luv Grant Me My 1 Request, came out this past Valentine’s Day through Kingfisher Bluez and was named a “Pick Of The Week” just last week. Team member Simone had this to say about the album:
“With brief catchy songs and the kind of stories that keep one up in nights of solitude, Future Star’s debut record is an exciting release that echoes the early work of acts like Frankie Cosmos and Florist - with this songwriting groundwork, Future Star is unstoppable.”
Today we are very excited to get to premiere the video for the single, "It's Hard to Let Go of You,” which is a song that wrestles with accepting a break up and wanting to reunite. When asked about the track, Future Star revealed:
“I wanted to capture the weird feeling of transition between holding someone's hand for 3 years and suddenly something changing and you aren't holding that person's hand anymore. There's a desperation to it - an attempt to want to make things work even when you aren't right for each other.”
