Premiere: The Pink Noise - "Smithereens"

Closing in on 15 years as a band, Montreal’s The Pink Noise are the underground secret your favourite post-punk acts cite as an influence. They have released records for well known imprints like Sacred Bones and Pleasence, with sounds ranging from lofi new-wave to jagged post-punk.

Their 8th LP, Economy of Love, is set to arrive on March 12th through Montreal label Celluloid Lunch and is said to feature a more robust production than much of their past works. Today, the Cups N Cakes Network is very happy to premiere the second single from Economy of Love which is called "Smithereens."

Have a listen below and if you like what you hear, please consider pre-ordering the album today, March 5th, because today is Bandcamp Friday. (Meaning on this day, Bandcamp forgoes their fees on music sales, giving 100% of the proceeds to the artists)
