Premiere: Gloin - Dark Moto
Tomorrow will mark the release day for Gloin’s debut album, We Found This, arriving through Mothland. This four-piece noise-rock group cut their teeth in Toronto’s underground for years before breaking out beyond the confines of their hometown with the release of their 2019 EP, Soft Monster. The forthcoming record carries on Gloin’s penchant for post-punk proficiency, noise laden layers, and gloomy goth aesthetics. It’s a must hear, especially when reading that the band described the album as:
“Talking Heads and Black Flag joining up to write an aggressive video game soundtrack.”
Today we are very excited to share the third single from We Found This, a track called “Dark Moto.” It arrives in the the form of an unsettling video directed by Sara May who commented by saying:
“My vision for how to shoot and edit this video was inspired by the unique character of Gloin's music. A seemingly straightforward concept that slowly reveals deep complexities and sinister undertones. Always drawing you in and leaving you wanting more. The band seems to create and perform music in an unseen dystopia and I tried to capture a small part of that in the “Dark Moto” video.”
