Video Premiere: Wolf Willow - The World Kept Turning

The Cups N Cakes Network have been championing Saskatchewan based Country and Western act, Wolf Willow, since they came into our lives with their 2019 EP, And The Leaves Have Turned To Amber, which ended up making our list of the Best EPs from that year. Then in 2021 we gushed about their album Old Guitars & Shooting Stars, which wound up getting an honourable mention nod as Best Album from that year.

Keeping with the time honoured tradition of a variety show, today Wolf Willow deliver us a new track in the form of a live video to help us veer back in time by drawing influence from classic country TV programs like the Buck Owens Show or the long running Tommy Hunter Show. The song features the sweet sounding Slippery Butte Strings and the vocals of Stoneface Stanley in a heartbreaker song that goes from confessional to bombastic in under three and half minutes.

The video is dropping today to promote and celebrate upcoming shows on November 4th at Amigos Cantina (Saskatoon) and November 5th at the Palomino Smokehouse (Calgary).
