Premiere: Yaris Paris - Memory Plane
Vancouver based, synth-pop artist, Yaris Paris is about to return into our lives with his third album, Memory Plane, slated for release this Friday (November 4th). We last covered Yaris Paris in the summer of 2021 when we made his album Ultimate Fantasy a “Pick Of the Week.” Cups N Cakes writer Fel Gamarra had this to say about that release:
“A hybrid between singer/songwriter and chill-wave, Yaris Paris guarantees a dream-like sonic experience.”
On Memory Plane, Yaris Paris focuses on creating danceable synth-forward songs and aiming to craft a communal atmosphere. The release showcases his growth as a songwriter and a producer as he continues the DIY aesthetic carved out with all his recordings. The album is a jaunt through his personal memories with some being rather intense like coming to terms with his Father’s terminal illness, and then some that capture the minutia of everyday life like wanting to bail on plans you made.
Today the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to deliver an exclusive premiere of the entire album a day before it’s launched into the world. We are also very excited to announce that this album arrives with the opportunity to catch Yaris Paris’ debut live performance on November 10th at The Lido in Vancouver.
