Video Premiere: Uschi Tala - Many Ways To Pray

Uschi Tala is a B.C. based Queer, gender-fluid artist who crafts downtempo, experimental hip hop by live looping beats with gothic undertones while lyrically bringing attention to social issues and empowering others.

Today the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to premiere the first single from their forthcoming album, Lantern Tree, which is expected to arrive in October. The track we are sharing is called “Many Ways To Pray” and it arrives in video form. The song and video are a statement piece to queer reclamation in which Uschi Tala aims to take back their Queer individual right to spiritual practice and sexual expression, while shedding the shame/blame complex that is so often cast by those who are threatened by the vibrancy and freedom of queer, trans and gender non-conforming existence.
