Release Premiere: Divorcer - Nutty Grotto

It’s very rare that we release content on weekends but when we got the opportunity to deliver an exclusive premiere of the new Divorcer EP to help boost the hype for their release show in Vancouver tonight… we couldn't say no. This four piece experimental pop group blew us away with their 2019 debut album entitled Debt Jubilee and we’ve been patiently waiting for a follow up.

Today is that day… and if you live in Vancouver… tonight is your lucky night as Divorcer will be playing a rare hometown gig to support the release of a new four song EP called Nutty Grotto. The show will be tonight (July 30th) at What Lab and is a part of the Wronger Wave festival.

Advertised as a collection of mantras to help survive our mundane realities, Nutty Grotto moves the band even further into the realm of absurdity. Self described as “wonky-pop,” Divorcer use melodic pop sensibilities to ease listeners into the experimental oddball world of Nutty Grotto thats was inspired by Looney Tunes, woodland critters, and the operatic dramas of suburban housing complexes.

…seriously… how are you not intrigued?

Check out Nutty Grotto below and if you’re lucky enough to be in Vancouver tonight, do not miss their release show.
