Video Premiere: Pretty - “Great Work”

Today, the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to premiere a music video for the Toronto psych band Pretty. The song is called “Great Work” and is from their forthcoming album. With “Great Work,” the band continues to find their sound as driving rhythms meet introspective lyricism that navigates the complexities of contemporary existence. It’s an incredible track from a band that has evolved endlessly during their existence, trying to find their sound. Starting back in 2015 with hardcore and grunge, Pretty have gone through line-up changes and different directions on their journey as a band. They’ve now found themselves becoming one of the most exciting acts in Toronto’s robust and exciting psych-scene.

The new album is called Where You'll Be When the World is Gone and it arrives on August 14 and can be pre-saved here. While you wait for their highly anticipated new album, enjoy the video for “Great Work” below and catch them in Toronto on May 29th as part of the Prepare The Ground festival.

"I did it all very DIY. Everything you see was me learning on the fly. I'm a carpenter not a musician, or a journalist, or a publicist... I'm a carpenter and a weird crazy music fan that thought he could do something fun that might benefit something I care about"
