Video Premiere: Wolf Willow - “Do Not Believe In Me (Live at Amigos)”

Cups N Cakes has long been a fan of Regina’s Wolf Willow. The band makes great albums but their true gift is delivering those albums in a live setting. It continues to blow our minds every time we see them play firstly, because of how great they sound and secondly, there’s 10 of em!!!

Taking a ten-piece country & western band on the road is insane. As someone who knows a bit about how difficult it is to make a buck as an independent band, I can say for sure that Wolf Willow play live for the love of playing live. From festivals across Western Canada to selling out Regina’s historic Darke Hall theatre, playing for fans has been the driving force for the band and we applaud them for their efforts.

To capture the magic of their live show, the band partnered with Little Jack Farms to craft some audio visual offerings that were recorded on a hand-held VHS camera at the legendary Amigos Cantina in Saskatoon. Today the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to premiere one of those videos, please enjoy “Do Not Believe In Me” below and check out their Bandcamp page to support the band by purchasing their music.

Jeff MacCallum

Jeff MacCallum is our founder. He created Cups N Cakes simply because he had a love of local music. Soon the platform grew beyond the confines of his scene in Edmonton to include all of Canada.

"I did it all very DIY. Everything you see was me learning on the fly. I'm a carpenter not a musician, or a journalist, or a publicist... I'm a carpenter and a weird crazy music fan that thought he could do something fun that might benefit something I care about"

Over the years, MacCallum's commitment to elevating Canadian music earned him a spot as a Polaris Prize Juror, a WCMA Juror, a consultant for music festival curation, and a dear friend to independent music in Canada.
