Wasted Cathedral, Andrea Ramolo, Yawn Care, and Plasticine Cowboy

Wasted Cathedral – I’m Gonna Love You ‘Til The End Of Time

Serene Sounds from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Wasted Cathedral’s newest album, the seven part I’m Gonna Love You ‘Til The End Of Time is a mesmerizing release featuring entrancing drones and vast soundscapes. From songs under a minute to well over ten, this is a record brimming with innovation and experimentalism – just my cup o’ tea.

Andrea Ramolo – Quarantine Dream

Toronto’s Andrea Ramolo is a multiple Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, and this accolade proves itself with her newest album, the ten track Quarantine Dream. Her high fidelity blend of folk and pop forms a reverberated rustic sound with a catchy structure. This is an album quarant-eed (sorry) to entice both mind and body.

Yawn Care – yawn care // bronfin

A release literal in design yet metaphorical in sound – the newest effort from Winnipeg’s Yawn Care is a down tempo trilogy of tracks with distant piano chords and interwoven beats. This purely instrumental EP takes your mind by the ears and glides it through an ever developing sound.

Plasticine Cowboy – Wolfs

This two song set of covers by Vancouver-based artist Plasticine Cowboy, entitled Wolfs, utilizes interesting combinations – such as a violin bow on a guitar – to experiment with a soft indie sound. The first track, “Metal Heart”, is accompanied with a music video – a vintage, dimly lit aesthetic that closes in on the instruments, further accentuating the album's feeling of deep emotional release.
