Shame Spiral, Joseph Brooks Organ, Begonia, and GADFLY

Shame Spiral - Dictaphone Future

Sometimes I hear something that really speaks to me, and Dictaphone Future is one of those releases. Cloaked in Iron Curtain-level secrecy, Shame Spiral project lofi mysteriousness mixed with high energy vocals. Is that Russian? I don’t know and I don’t care. This is what scorched earth sounds like.

Joseph Brooks Organ - Lovelorn

You’re driving alone through a National Park. It’s late in the season and there’s a chill in the mountain air. You pull over at a small waterfall. The leaves are turning. There is so much beauty in the world. If only she were there with you.

Begonia - “Bus

We all have our reasons for going out: to be with friends, to check out a favourite band, to meet someone, or to be seen. Begonia’s “Bus” is about all of this. We all go out to feel something, even if that something is feeling alone in a crowd.

GADFLY - GADFLY

A Gadfly is someone who challenges authority. GADFLY is a release that challenges doom and stoner rock authority, which is exactly what rock music is supposed to do. Never accept the status quo. Things can and should always be made better at every opportunity. Now where’s my bong?
