Calgary’s electronic and groove jam band continue to push themselves to disallow complacency. Santé is littered with juicy saxophone, infectious lines, rhythmic congas, ambient keys, and electronic samples. It adds up to a whole lotta hot damn!
BETABOYS - Just Yesterday
For those of us who were fortunate enough to have experienced the counter shift of new wave music in the 80s, it does indeed feel as though it was - Just Yesterday. BETABOYS new EP, for me, achieved what they set out to accomplish, it grasps the nostalgia of the 80s.
