Private Lives, Winnie Richards, LXVNDR & Tachichi, and The Titillators

Private Lives - Hit Record

Hit Record, the debut album of Montreal’s punk rock band, Private Lives, hit airwaves on July 14. Atop of relentless guitars, crunchy aggressive bass guitar that blends with snare heavy drums are Jackie Blenkarn’s aggressive attitude vocals. And together, it all makes sense.

Winnie Richards - Vikings

I dug back in this year’s archives and thankfully, I discovered Winnie Richards’ release from May 31. There are a lot of authentic 70’s rock & roll influences and vibes throughout the album. Winnie puts her most valuable instrument front and center - her voice, it is honest and real.

LXVNDR & Tachichi - Found Money

Aaaahhh damn, this is aces!!! This is old school rap that takes me BACK! Absolutely killing it with the hooks and I have to go with the lyric of the week from their track, Suckaz: “I’m talking to the crown and you, we need Kings and Queens for the children and the youth.”

The Titillators - That’s The Night

Music is all around us, as are the instruments which can produce creative sounds. This truly is what The Titillators came to remind us of with their album That’s The Night. And then there is the element of courage, the kind which allows us to set free our inhibitions and record your homemade instrument. Bravo!
