B.A. Johnston, divorcer, F&M, and Idle Moon

B.A. Johnston - Argos Suck

This release from B.A. Johnston is stoner punk at its finest. With an 80s aesthetic stapled throughout the album, and with a release on cassette, this album will take you back to a simpler time. With songs about Super Mario and Steve Miller, the vocals are cheeky and funny and the music is kickass.

divorcer - Espionage

It’s great to see a band have their vinyl debut, and Espionage is no exception. I’m a big fan of divorcer, first hearing them through their prior release nutty grotto.  It’s awesome to hear more music from them. This band tickles my ears with their humour and tongue-in-cheek vocal deliveries.

F&M - Dance Danse

With two songs taken out of the vault since being put there in 2017, this is the first release from F&M in a few years. These three songs serve as a follow-up to their previous release, Lessons From Losers, as they currently work on an album with fewer dance elements.

Idle Moon - NOMAD

This new release from Vancouver-based soul band Idle Moon is an instrumental trip and a half. These kinds of jams are great for lounging music when you’re just looking to close your eyes and drift away. Excellent organ riffs, guitar licks, and groovy-as-hell bass lines. A great album through and through.
