Premiere: Yaris Paris - "Blue Dream"
Vancouver based Yaris Paris dropped his incredible debut, Real Moves, in 2020 through Kamloops based label, Factotum Cassettes & Oddities. We were a little behind in discovering this artist but made up for it by adding Real Moves to our list of 2020 favourites that “Slipped Through The Cracks.” We are pleased to let you know that we are sleeping on this phenomenal dream-pop act anymore.
Today we are pleased to be giving you a premiere of a brand new single from Yaris Paris called “Blue Dream.” The track is from an upcoming, yet-to-be announced LP. The song and video capture Yaris Paris aspiring to travel but uncertain of whether he is abroad or just caught in a daydream at home.
Yaris Paris spoke to the lyrical theme of “Blue Dream”:
"This song was inspired by the absence of blue sky that we often experience in the darker months of the year. It fantasizes about how cathartic it is to get a clear, bluebird day every once in a while, as a way of resetting both mentally and physically."
