Pallmer are a Fredericton duo consisting of Emily Kennedy (cello, vocals) and Mark Kleyn (viola) who use classical composition to inspire their songwriting. They take the old and make it new using loop pedals and effects to expand the possibilities of their wooden instruments.

Today we are pleased to be premiering the song "Bricks," the second single from their forthcoming Quiet Clapping EP (out April 9, 2021). Quiet Clapping was recorded live off the floor at interAction, an old church-converted-to-arts-centre in Saint John, New Brunswick, with audio engineer Corey Bonnevie (Monopolized Records).

When asked about the song “Bricks,” Kennedy revealed:

"We recorded 'Bricks' in a large dance studio in the back of the building, taking advantage of its natural resonance, and embracing the occasional noises from old water heating. The video was filmed in a similar manner. We recorded it in Memorial Hall, and Sarah Kierstead captured the video after only a few takes."
